Therapists for college students near University of Colorado Boulder
I’m a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, and multicultural identity issues. I offer a warm, collaborative, and culturally sensitive approach grounded in emotion-focused and evidence-based practices. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and identities. Together, we work to build insight, resilience, and meaningful change through a trusting and empowering therapeutic relationship.
Healing is rarely a straight path, and having the right support can make all the difference. As a mental health therapist, my work centers on helping adults 18 and older from diverse backgrounds navigate the ways mental health shapes their personal, professional, and social lives, whether that means managing everyday stress or working through more complex challenges. My commitment is to meet you exactly where you are, as a collaborative partner on your therapeutic journey, to help you build the tools and insight needed to move forward. Together, we'll work toward the clarity, resilience, and hope you deserve. Compassionate, humorous, and guided by you — that's the foundation of how I show up for every person I work with. I believe deeply in the healing power of human connection, and getting to witness that unfold in practice is what drives me. At all times, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where laughter is always welcome alongside the harder conversations. My style is empathetic and adaptive, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches to strengthen your sense of well-being across all areas of life. Your unique goals, experiences, and needs shape the direction of our work together, because the most meaningful progress happens when care is truly tailored to you. My path to becoming a therapist began with first being a patient myself. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to seek support and the profound impact attentive, caring treatment can have on a person's life. Today, that lived experience informs every session I offer. Alongside my clinical training, it grounds me in empathy and authentic presence, and I'm just as eager to learn from your story as I am to share the tools that may help you write the next chapter. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me recharging through creative and outdoor pursuits. Drawing and painting offer a meditative outlet, while fishing and archery bring a welcome sense of patience and focus. Reading keeps my curiosity alive, and regular walks help me stay grounded, a practice I find just as valuable in everyday life as in the work we do together.
Thank you for considering working with me. I understand how important it is to have the right support during difficult times. My approach is integrative and personalized, meeting you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll create a safe and supportive space to explore what’s on your mind, while also focusing on practical steps to help you feel more like yourself again. Whether you're feeling stuck in worry, overwhelmed by racing thoughts, or struggling with self-doubt, we’ll work together to build tools that help you feel more grounded and centered in the present.
Have you been struggling with reoccurring thoughts, memories, and images of past stressful events that you can't get out of your mind? Are you experiencing loss of time with no explanation, feeling out of control of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors? Does it sometimes feel that you are living life from the back seat with no control? You could be experiencing dissociation and the after effects of trauma. I specialize in working with the whole self to process through past trauma & negative beliefs about yourself in order to open up new ways of interacting with the world and new beliefs. As an EMDR trained therapist I use your brain's natural neuron network to help you reform negative beliefs about yourself that were formed in trauma. The brain holds onto trauma; using bilateral stimulation it is possible to make sense of our past memories so that they do not have emotional power over our lives. EMDR has also been known to decrease anxiety. If you are an individual who is struggling with past trauma, dissociation, or anxiety; please feel free to contact me for a free 30 minute consult to see if I am the right therapist for you. I would love to help guide you along your healing journey.

Satie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Her specialties include trauma, depression, grief and loss, relationships, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, and development of self-awareness and self-connection. She takes a whole-person and compassion-rooted approach and often combines relational, body-based, emotion-focused, and mindfulness elements in working with clients. Satie approaches therapy as a collaborative relationship in which the process is tailored specifically to what each person needs over time. She believes that not everyone needs the same things from therapy, so it needs to adjust to each person. Therapy with her is relational and grounded and her therapeutic style is described as collaborative, empathetically challenging, and non-judgmental. Satie strives to make room in therapy for calm, humor, and joy in the process as well. Her ideal clients are individuals who understand that healing often requires change. With that in mind, she works to support clients in identifying and exploring personal response patterns, making meaning, gaining insight into emotions, shifting beliefs about self, and learning to better regulate or cope. Her hope is for individuals to connect with their needs and experience meaningful changes or insights in therapy that help them to feel more empowered, build a strong personal foundation of understanding, and reconnect with parts of themselves or experiences they've felt disconnected from. Whether you're needing a supportive place in your life to process stress and transition or wanting to explore deeper concerns, She will provide a calm, open space for you to do that.
At Zephyr Behavioral Health and Wellness, we work best with students who feel like they’ve been pushing through life on hard mode. Our team focuses on creating a space that is affirming, collaborative, and practical. Where you can show up as you are and build tools that actually work for your brain, your goals, and your life. If you’re looking for support that feels respectful, personalized, and aligned with who you are, Zephyr may be a good fit for you.

I work with Individuals as well as couples using the Gottman method. My goal is to help you discover yourself in new ways and bring awareness to themes in your life and how they relate to your family of origin. I have spent the last 10 years working on my craft to care for others and help break unhealthy cycles. I draw from CBT and TF-CBT strategies, DBT strategies, family systems, Gottman and relational psychodynamics to help others with anxiety, depression, processing loss and trauma, as well as, family conflict and relationship issues. I use DBT and client centered therapy techniques to help pay attention to your emotional experience, identify the role you play or played in your family that is still being played out in other relationships today. I help you find self acceptance in your own personality and build awareness of how that is impacted by others. Are you the middle man, the scapegoat, a leader, the avoider or the drama queen? No matter your role, you are enough! Let’s dive into how your role in your family unit contributes to unhealthy cycles that have happened in the past or happening now. I use reenactments in sessions, CBT and family systems strategies to bring awareness to how your role in their family may be contributing to unhealthy cycles. What is your “no” and what is your “yes”. Sometimes we don’t know what that is, but I’m here to help you figure it out. Together we can identify the boundaries that need to be created for a more healthy lifestyle and grieve the boundaries that did not exist in the past and learn how to have “repair moments”. I’m here to build up your self care and create coping skills that serve well in establishing healthy relationships.
