Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling lost and isolated by persistent grief or conflicting expectations. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you feel truly understood and valued. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado, and I have worked in the counseling field for over 30 years, beginning my career as a wilderness counselor. I earned my master's degree in 1989 and my doctorate in 2016. If you are seeking support to navigate life's challenges and want a counselor who will listen with empathy and help you feel seen, I invite you to connect with my practice. Together, we can find your path forward.

In the middle of becoming someone new? I work with adolescents and adults navigating identity transitions—career pivots, new parenthood, finishing school, layoffs, or the quieter realization that the life you’ve been building no longer fits. I came to this work through my own transition after a decade in tech startups, so I understand what it’s like to question your path and grow into something not yet fully defined. I’m also a new mom, with firsthand experience of the disorientation and identity shifts that can come with early parenthood—so if you’re in that season, you won’t have to explain it from scratch. I draw from several evidence based approaches; Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). What matters more than the models themselves is how therapy feels: collaborative, structured when helpful, open-ended when needed, and grounded in approaches that are proven to support real change. Therapy works best when it feels like yours—like the conversations you’d want to be having if you had the right person to have them with. My role is to be that person, while also offering tools and frameworks that help you make sense of what’s happening, not just talk about it.

Living with anxiety or a mood disorder can feel isolating, overwhelming, and hard to put into words. You may find yourself overthinking, feeling on edge, or weighed down by intense sadness. At other times, your energy or mood may shift in ways that feel just as unsettling - racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, or feeling pulled in a million different directions. You may wonder why things feel so much harder for you than they seem for others or feel frustrated by patterns that you can't seem to break. If any of this resonates with you, I see you - and you don't have to go through it on your own. I'm here to help by creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space grounded in empathy and honesty, when it’s helpful. You’re the expert in your life—I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we will explore your values, build routines that support your mood, and gently shift unhelpful thought patterns. My practice is rooted in a deep respect for the many factors that shape each person’s healing—both within and around them. Having experienced my own transformative work in therapy, I understand the courage and vulnerability it takes to show up. It’s truly an honor to be invited into that journey, and I approach each client with care, humility, and warmth.

Do you find yourself feeling stuck in unfulfilling relationships? Growing up comes with unique challenges at every stage, whether you’re a child, teen, young adult, or family seeking support. As a licensed professional counselor, my passion lies in helping individuals and families navigate life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and the connection between therapist and patient is at the heart of meaningful progress. That’s why I work collaboratively with you to build a meaningful, trusting therapeutic relationship grounded in a trauma-informed, patient-centered approach. My goal is to offer a safe, inclusive space where you can develop effective coping skills, build self-awareness, and move toward the lasting growth and well-being you deserve. As a person of color, creating a culturally inclusive space is something I hold with great intention. Representation matters, and I strive to offer every patient the opportunity to work with a therapist who can understand and genuinely relate to their lived experience. My approach is integrative and shaped entirely around your unique needs and goals. Within our therapeutic relationship, you'll find a space that is both safe and encouraging, one where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, and incorporating art- and play-based techniques when working with children and adolescents, sessions are designed to meet you where you are. Together, we'll work to uncover patterns, work through life's experiences, and build practical coping tools that support your growth. My path to becoming a therapist is deeply personal. My own experiences in therapy, navigating anxiety, and growing up with divorced parents gave me firsthand insight into the power of healing and the importance of having the right support in your corner. That foundation shapes the care and empathy I bring to every session. With four years of experience in private group practice and school-based settings, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, and families through a wide range of challenges. Most recently, as a school-based therapist, I helped young people strengthen focus, build peer relationships, and develop practical coping skills they could carry into every area of their lives. Experience in a day treatment setting has further deepened my understanding of more intensive support needs. This background gives me a strong understanding of today's educational environment and the pressures students and families face, and I am well-equipped to support you in advocating for your needs within the school system. Originally from Chicago, I’ve called Colorado home since 2015. Outside of the therapy room, time with family, friends, and dogs brings me a lot of joy, as does exploring the great Colorado outdoors through hiking and paddle boarding. Trying new restaurants, catching live music, reading, and watching scary movies round out life away from work.

I work best with clients who may appear to have it together on the outside while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted. Many are navigating trauma, OCD, mood changes, identity exploration, or relationship stress. Reaching out for psychiatric care can be difficult. You may be concerned about being judged, unsure about medication, or discouraged by previous treatment experiences. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe care should be built on trust, honesty, respect, and collaboration. My role is to listen without judgment, explain your options clearly, and make sure you have a meaningful voice in treatment. I work with people of all backgrounds, including adolescents, adults, veterans, military-connected individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Many patients come to me because they want to better understand what they’re experiencing and find a treatment plan that feels manageable. These struggles may result in feeling constantly on guard, depressed, hopeless, unmotivated, or unable to concentrate – with symptoms that often affect sleep, relationships, school, work, and day-to-day functioning. Other psychiatric conditions include PTSD, mood disorders, and ADHD. No matter what you’re facing, my aim is to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, honesty, respect, and collaboration to better help you improve sleep, focus, emotional stability, relationships, motivation, and overall quality of life. My work as a psychiatric clinician centers on evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, supportive therapy, treatment planning, and patient education, all guided by a collaborative, patient-centered approach built on shared decision-making. Rather than simply prescribing a path forward, I take time to listen and explain treatment options clearly, so you understand the potential benefits and risks of each one before deciding together what makes sense. From there, your treatment plan is built around your specific symptoms, goals, preferences, and past response to care. That same collaborative spirit shapes what it feels like to work with me day to day. My style is calm, conversational, and grounded in a supportive, respectful environment where you're never just receiving instructions. Through medication management, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, and education, I help you better understand what you're experiencing and take an active role in your own treatment. As your goals and experiences evolve, so does your plan, since care here is never meant to be static. My approach to mental health care has been shaped by 25 years of experience as an Army combat medic, critical care nurse, and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. These roles gave me firsthand insight into trauma, crisis, resilience, and the effects of high-stress environments on individuals and families. I also hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, a Master of Business Administration, and the Healthcare Ethics Consultant-Certified credential. This combination of clinical, leadership, and healthcare ethics training strengthens my commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based treatments that respect each patient's values, autonomy, and individual circumstances. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our four children. Our family is actively involved in Scouting America, which gives us opportunities to serve our community, spend time outdoors, and learn new skills together. I also enjoy fishing, camping, kayaking, gaming, reading, and woodworking.

Hello! I am currently accepting new patients. All visits are through telemedicine, so I can see anyone in the state of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Colorado. My love for what I do in psychiatry, comes from the joy I get in helping others improve their lives. Most of my patients do not know which direction to go when then come to me, and that is ok. Some people come to me looking for second or third opinions about diagnosis or medications, some people are referred by a therapist to start medication. We can openly discuss decisions and options. This is a judgement free zone. There is no way you can TMI me! My primary role in our sessions is diagnosis, evaluation and medication management. The role I have in therapy is very small. Most clients are already in therapy or have been referred by therapists to me. All sessions are conducted by tele-medicine. **Offering flexible hours, evening appointments available, also some weekends. **
