Therapists for college students near Temple University
In today's world, it can be extremely challenging to feel truly and simply happy. Many are struggling to develop a sense of identity, and may experience a lack of boundaries, people-pleasing tendencies, and confusion about their own wants and needs. The pressure can feel overwhelming, leading us to struggle with anxiety, loneliness, life transitions, and our relationships. But it doesn't need to be this way; Change is possible. If this resonates with you as you seek to find support, you’re in exactly the right place and I’m so glad you’re here. I believe that connection is the basis of healing so I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic space, where we work together to heal your relationship with others and, most importantly, with yourself. Through my extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults, I aim to tailor therapy to your unique needs. I am trained in various therapeutic approaches, so we can work together to figure out the best type of therapy for you. My priority is to help you grow holistically into the most authentic and connected version of yourself. I became a therapist because I believe in the potential of every person to grow, change, and achieve a true sense of connection and contentment. Taking this step can be intimidating, but you aren’t doing it alone. Let’s work together to uncover your hidden strengths, ultimately empowering you to create the fulfilling life you deserve. I’m here to listen and support you as you grow into the best version of yourself, and I will be walking alongside you every step of the way.
At Cognitive Pursuits, I provide therapy for athletes and high-achieving professionals and academics who want to strengthen their mental health and enhance performance. With over a decade of clinical experience, including leadership roles at Thomas Jefferson University, I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, substance use, self-doubt, and burnout. I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy, positive psychotherapy, and existential psychotherapy—among other evidence-based techniques—to create a supportive, practical, and collaborative space where clients can make meaningful progress toward their goals. I offer both traditional therapy and Performance Anxiety Therapy Intensives — focused, short-term programs designed to help clients gain clarity, build confidence, and develop effective strategies to perform at their best while maintaining balance and wellbeing. Services are available virtually to residents of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. My name is Meghan Morley - I’m a licensed therapist, former NCAA athlete, and personal trainer. My background in both mental health and performance psychology allows me to understand the unique pressures faced by driven individuals—whether in competition, academics, or demanding careers. Before founding Cognitive Pursuits, I served as Clinical Operations Manager at Thomas Jefferson University’s Center on Community Substance Abuse Programs and currently am an adjunct professor at St. Joseph's University counseling graduate program. My work is grounded in the belief that high performance and wellbeing don’t have to compete. I help clients quiet mental noise, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of confidence and purpose that extends far beyond achievement alone.
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, or the impacts of trauma? Do you wish you could show up differently in your life and with those you love? As we try our best to adapt to the world around us, we can sometimes develop patterns that are unhelpful or that no longer serve us in our current circumstances, which can lead us to feel stuck. I will work alongside you to build insight, foster self-compassion, and help you to identify your own internal resources for healing.
As an art therapist, I offer a space where creativity becomes a path to healing, self-understanding, and empowerment. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, those healing from trauma, and folks who identify as neurodivergent. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, or life transitions, you're welcome here—exactly as you are. My approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and rooted in the belief that self-expression can be a powerful tool for insight and growth. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist to benefit from art therapy. Together, we use creative processes—drawing, painting, or exploring imagery—as a way to access what words alone may not fully capture. I know that therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. I aim to co-create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported in moving at your own pace. My hope is that this work helps you reconnect with your inner voice and build emotional resilience. If you’re looking for a therapist who brings warmth and creativity, I’d be honored to walk with you on your journey.
I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and hold credentials as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been in the field a little over 10 years and have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns; including depression, anxiety, identity formation, crisis management, addiction, and life transitions. My counseling style is very person-first and engaging. I believe in incorporating different therapeutic techniques in order to meet you exactly where you are during each interaction. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to have you feel comfortable and help guide you to develop healthy skills that encourage empowerment and self-discovery. Outside of my career, I am an animal lover that enjoys traveling. I enjoy being physically active and believe the best gifts are those you can experience! I am a fan of all Italian food and find comfort relaxing while watching a good movie or reading a thrilling book. I strongly advocate the concept of self-care and overall life balance. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming it can feel to seek counseling and I appreciate the courage my clients display by doing so. I hope to support and provide encouragement as we begin this process together. I believe that every individual has the ability to overcome struggles and learn how to highlight their strengths that they may not even be aware they have! I look forward to working with you! Hi there, I've been working with individuals with different stress in life as a counselor since I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2014. I have been seeing students who are struggling with academic stress, graduation anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, acculturation, identity issues, and some mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, etc.
"Why now?" is a question I often ask at the beginning of therapy. Some people come in the aftermath of a personal or relationship crisis, some seek relief for old pain, others simply feel certain that its time for a change. My work is well-suited for people experiencing anger, grief, compassion fatigue, trauma reactivity, anxiety, depression, patterns of conflict and concerns of purpose and identity. I'm not overwhelmed by strong feelings or complex struggles. Whatever reason you may have to begin therapy, we'll work together to find the heart of the matter and what might help. My process is insight-oriented and collaborative but I'll tell you what I think. Clients have appreciated my warmth, directness and cultural competency. Some have stayed with me for years or returned after long breaks. I've had success connecting with adolescents and people who feel ambivalent about therapy. I'm deeply curious about how each of my clients experiences the world and I'll be glad to meet you. Reach out, and we can see if we might work well together.
There’s a lot of things for you to worry about, but I hope therapy doesn’t have to be one of them. I want to offer a space where you can work through anxiety and worries in real time with a real person who listens, understands, and helps you sort through the noise. I’m not going to sit there and hand you advice you didn’t ask for. We’ll figure things out together. What’s behind the anxiety, how is it messing with your life, and what might actually help? The goal isn’t perfection. It’s feeling a little more in control, a little more like yourself. Life’s too short to feel stuck in your own head all the time. I want to help you get out into the world. To help you connect with people who actually make you feel good and to give you a chance to discover what is really important to you. With extensive experience working with people in their 20s and 30s, as well as those in the LGBTQ+ community, I’m here to support you through whatever life throws your way. Feel free to give me a call or email to discuss a consultation/scheduling. Or visit my website to learn more about what I have to offer.
