Welcome. I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified Group Psychotherapist, and EMDR practitioner. My specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, men's issues, technology addiction, climate-related distress & other existential concerns. My approach is humanistic-existential and trauma-informed, and integrates psychodynamic/psychoanalytic therapy, CBT, and mindfulness as needed. I am also trained in Attachment-focused EMDR, which is well suited to working with complex trauma. My approach is tailored to each client, and I’ll use all the tools I have to help you feel better and more present in your life. Feel free to request a free phone consultation or ask me any questions you have. I want you to understand the process and feel as much agency as possible. You'll find more details, including fees, on my website. I work in Manhattan on Mondays and in Poughkeepsie the rest of the week, so just let me know which office you're near.
Our drive as therapists has always been to help others, and to help guide clients into finding their inner peace at a time when so many - and understandably so - have felt an intense amount of anxiety, sadness, and just an overall sense of emotional turmoil. We work through a lot of things with our clients: how to get unstuck, establishing boundaries, feeling more confident, and finding strategies to work through the anxiety and depression that plagues so many, to name a few. Most importantly however, we hope to be able to help you reclaim your own space in a world that demands you to be quiet. To be able to really live. Unapologetically. Bravely.
With seven years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, helping people navigate life transitions, behavioral challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, self-esteem concerns, attachment issues, and relationship difficulties. My goal is to meet you where you are. Whether you're carrying something heavy or simply searching for a clearer path forward, I'm committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, seen, supported, and understood. When you feel that kind of safety, meaningful growth becomes possible — and that's what we'll work toward together: healing, resilience, and the life you envision for yourself. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you as we work together toward your goals. In our sessions, you can expect a nonjudgmental space where you feel empowered to share your experiences, explore challenges, build on your strengths, and create meaningful growth and change. Because every person's journey is unique, I tailor treatment to your individual needs and goals. My warm, empathetic approach may draw on person-centered therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), alongside other evidence-based interventions, to provide care that is personalized, collaborative, and genuinely responsive to your experiences. My path to becoming a therapist began with a genuine desire to understand people and how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors shape the lives we live. That curiosity led me toward direct work with families, children, adolescents, and young adults in crisis, experiences that deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, individualized care. Working alongside people in some of their most difficult moments strengthened my ability to show up with compassion, empathy, and understanding, in an environment where people feel genuinely supported. I love playing softball and catching baseball games whenever I can. When I'm not on the field or in the stands, I enjoy watching movies and TV, traveling, and spending time with the friends, family, and loved ones who matter most to me.
I specialize in treating depression and anxiety, with a focus on individuals navigating family conflict, intergenerational trauma, and the unique stressors that can come with immigrant and international backgrounds. These experiences can shape how people view themselves, relate to others, and manage stress, often contributing to feelings of overwhelm, guilt, or emotional strain. I also specialize in working with patients navigating bipolar and other mood disorders, grief, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Therapy helps to better understand these patterns and experiences, while also building practical tools to manage symptoms. It can help you set boundaries, improve communication, and develop healthier ways of coping. When combined with appropriate medication management, this approach can lead to more stability and an improved sense of control in daily life. I am passionate about mental health because I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. I strive to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care that meets you where you are while supporting you in building insight, resilience, and meaningful change in your life.

You feel disconnected from your body and, at the same time, feel like it’s all you think about. You question what you say, how your body looks, if you’re doing things “right,” and there are so many times when your mind feels like it’s on a hamster wheel that you can’t stop. You’re on edge all day and sometimes feel like you may be having a heart attack. You don’t feel like you fit in anywhere. You’ve been made fun of for many different parts of who you are. You’ve been called weird or misunderstood at work, in your family, and even in some of your dating relationships. You’ve struggled to find someone who feels like a good fit romantically, and you’re worried there’s something wrong with you. From the start, we want you to know that at Meadow Therapy, we believe you have inherent worth simply by being born. Throughout your life, you’ve learned tools for survival that may no longer feel like they serve you. We can help you shift those survival skills using Mind to Body Psychotherapy. Mind to Body Psychotherapy is a mix of body-based work, exploration of childhood hurts, the neuroscience of emotions/emotional regulation, and other concrete coping skills, that will help you tap into your inner resources. You already have many creative tools you’ve used for survival. One of our goals is to help you move out of survival mode into having a thriving and fulfilling life. We offer inclusive therapy for adolescents and adults, couples therapy, and group therapy. Using Mind-to-Body Psychotherapy, we can help quiet your harsh thoughts, soothe your racing heart, and calm your body. We specialize in working with trauma survivors, LGBTQIA+, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, Trans and Gender-Nonconforming, Self-Harming, Addicted, fat/larger-bodied, disabled, kink/BDSM, and polyamorous people. We see you as the flora and fauna that come together harmoniously in the meadow. Email us for a FREE consultation - info@meadowtherapy.com
I specialize in helping people who have OCD, phobias and insomnia. It's very common for these problems to emerge in college, which can add immense pressure to an already intense time of life. Many people who struggle with these issues are very functional in other ways, and work hard to hide their pain. You may be used to solving problems on your own, and you might ask yourself "What's wrong with me? Why can't I fix this" when your usual strategies haven't helped. In our work together, I can help you understand why you keep getting stuck, and find a way to break free. My clients with OCD are smart, conscientious people who want to do the right thing. The things that they fear feel like very real possibilities to them, and they feel like it would be irresponsible to just ignore them. They want someone to tell them that everything is going to be okay, but when someone says that, they have a hard time believing it. They might go back and forth between feeling like other people are in denial about the terrible things that can happen in life, and feeling angry with themselves for not being able to stop spiraling. My treatment approach to OCD is very sensitive to these aspects of OCD. We don’t put energy into determining probabilities or disputing whether or not something is possible. Instead, we help you learn to trust in your own ability to distinguish between real world problems that deserve your time and attention, and OCD created problems that don’t need to be (and can’t be) solved because they are based on a believable, but false story. Once you feel confident that you can tell the difference between these two kinds of problems, you won’t feel the need to seek reassurance or do compulsions. People with specific phobias spend a lot of time and energy trying to avoid the thing that they fear. They are often very creative at finding work-arounds! At the same time, they might also feel limited by their phobias, and wish to seek help. Unfortunately, they might also have an impression that therapy will be like a sadistic game show, where they are forced to come into contact with something terribly frightening. This is not the case! Therapy for phobias is all about education and increasing your sense of self-efficacy and self-acceptance. We go at your pace, with the goal of helping you live your life freely. When you have insomnia, most advice about sleep is not helpful. You probably feel like you know more about sleep than anyone, and yet you still find yourself awake all night and exhausted all day. In therapy, I will listen to you and help you understand why you have been unable to sleep well. Then we will create a plan that actually helps you sleep!
My approach is an integration of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral modalities, which means I will explore the way you experienced the world from birth until present in order to identify habits and behaviors that have become roadblocks to living in alignment with the person you want to be.
Based on my experience, the students I work most effectively with often face similar challenges, especially as they adapt to college life and cope with stress or feeling overwhelmed. These individuals tend to find value in receiving support and guidance while adjusting to the demands of their new academic and social surroundings. I've found that my approach works best for those who are looking for practical ways to manage stress, improve time management, and build resilience in both academic and personal aspects of their lives. Through establishing a supportive and understanding therapeutic connection as well as medication management, my goal is to empower students to tackle their college journey with confidence and strength.

Abigail is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate the challenges of anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, and life transitions. She understands how overwhelming it can be to manage big feelings or adjust to new phases of life, and is dedicated to helping clients feel seen, heard, and supported throughout that journey. As a clinician, Abigail aims to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. She believes therapy is not just a place to work through difficulties, but also an opportunity to grow, explore, and build a deeper understanding of who you are. Abigail draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Play Therapy to tailor her work to each client’s unique needs and developmental stage. Her approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect—whether she's helping a child express themselves through play or guiding a teen through complex emotions. With warmth and curiosity, Abigail walks alongside her clients as they build coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, and discover new ways to thrive.
I believe that therapy, with a therapist who can help you feel safe, secure and seen, can restore our inherent joy, curiosity, creativity, and connectedness, which are often impaired or lost altogether as a result of trauma or past attachment wounds. I am a relational therapist and specialize in exploring patterns that come from our families of origin, relationships with ourselves, with our friends, romantic partners, and children, as well as relationships with food and substances. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs by incorporating modalities such as Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic work, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Regardless of approach, what is transformative in therapy occurs in the relational dynamic.
I offer a compassionate and supportive therapeutic space where clients can safely explore all aspects of themselves. While healing is ultimately a personal process, working with an attuned and understanding therapist can provide the containment and trust needed for meaningful change. I support individuals seeking therapy for emotional healing, self-understanding, and personal growth, helping clients gently engage with experiences that may feel difficult to face alone. My integrative approach draws on psychoanalytic psychotherapy, alongside somatic and mindfulness-based practices. I support individuals who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected from themselves or others. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, cultural identity challenges, life transitions, and the lasting impact of past experiences. I believe meaningful therapy emerges through a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and genuine curiosity. My work supports clients in moving beyond survival patterns toward greater emotional freedom, resilience, and a more connected way of living.

I work primarily with adolescents, young adults, and young professionals through life transitions, relational challenges, and forging identity. I often see those grappling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relational concerns, or sexual concerns. I have a specialty in working with eating and body image concerns/disorders from a Health At Every Size lens. I have niche expertise in concerns related to bariatric (weight loss) surgery and dramatic weight loss. I am LGBTQIA+ allied and often work with those exploring gender and sexuality. I work from a psychodynamic, attachment-based framework, and blend tangible skills to help alleviate your pain in the day-to-day and enhance your relationships. I am a person first, therapist second, and may utilize my own reactions and feelings to help us better understand your relationships in the world. From me, you can expect curiosity, warmth, and lots of questions about your experience to make sure I get it right. I try to leave you with interpretations of your challenges, new ways to think about your current circumstances, and things to try differently.
