My practice focuses on helping my clients identify and live according to their values. I meet my clients where they are at with empathy and acceptance, and together we explore their feelings, thoughts, strengths, and needs. I practice using a queer and trans-affirming, anti-racist, anti-ableist, trauma-informed lens. I tailor my sessions to meet the needs of each client, and I am also a certified Therapeutic Game Master who enjoys utilizing role play and games in therapy with adolescents and adults to practice skills for decision making, frustration tolerance, and managing conflict. I wear a mask at all in-person appointments and encourage my clients to wear one, as well.
Trying to find the right therapist in the middle of exams, papers, and trying to maintain a social life can feel overwhelming. I'm so glad you are here anyway! I am approachable and welcoming. 2) Finding a therapist who will help you grow- In addition to providing you with a safe space to talk, I also teach you valuable skills for more effectively managing your emotions, relationships, life and communication skills. My goal for therapy is to work towards helping my clients find the strength and resilience needed to get through what life brings to the table. I am a certified EMDR therapist, though I use multiple therapeutic approaches with each client and tailor therapy to each individual's needs. I take great pride in building a strong therapeutic relationship with the clients I see, as I believe that is the foundation of therapy! I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families as a whole. I love watching people grow throughout the therapeutic process, whether that entails mending strained relationships, working through trauma(s), embarking on a new journey, or finding personal strength. My passion to help others is what motivates me daily. It may be nerve wracking, overwhelming, and/or slightly uncomfortable, but just know that I am here to help, however I can. It can seem like a challenge to find a good therapist, but it is absolutely worth it to push forward until you find the best fit for you. I am licensed in New York, Colorado, Nevada, Florida, and South Carolina. Please note: I am not paneled with any insurance companies in Colorado, Florida, Nevada, or South Carolina.
