Being a college student—while also navigating identity, familial expectations, social anxiety, academic pressures, substance use, sex, sexuality, and questions about the future—can be a lot. I get it. With personal experience in many of these areas and professional experience supporting youth and young adults through trauma, mental health challenges, and life transitions, I know how overwhelming this stage can feel. My name is Eric Almond, LMSW, and I’ve worked with youth in community programs, outpatient clinics, and campus-based support spaces. I also know what it's like to return to school after some time away, and the challenges that inevitably follow. Whether you're new to school, returning, or continuing later in life, I aim to create a space that feels grounding, warm, and affirming—one where you don’t have to have it all figured out to be taken seriously. You're allowed to show up just as you are, and we’ll work from there. I offer a free fifteen minute virtual consultation to see if we're a good fit. Drama Therapist
Brooklyn, NY

College is intense, and brings up all kinds of challenges: in your classes, in figuring out who you are, in your social life. It all moves so quickly, and can be so overwhelming! Together, we can slow it down and process what's going on, as well as figure out what you want to change. I'm here for you! As a queer genderqueer drama therapist, I specialize in working with queer and trans folks, anti-zionists, and those interested in disrupting white supremacist and ableist systems of pathology. We will co-create a space that feels supportive enough for you to reconnect with your body, feel more confident in yourself, and maybe even have a laugh in the process. You might feel like you don't know where to begin. I've got you! You have lots of options, ranging from drama therapy to relational talk therapy- I love to collaboratively tailor these methods to support you in disrupting frustrating repetitive patterns, understanding and accepting yourself, and communicating more easily in your relationships. The world is hard. We're not going to pretend otherwise. But in the meantime, you deserve support. It's a brave move to reach out to a new therapist. I'm excited to meet you!

Hi there! I’m Muskan, a therapist-in-training passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I know that transitions throughout adulthood and seeking change or understanding within oneself can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to be a supportive, nonjudgmental resource as you navigate your mental health journey. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship struggles, or the stress of figuring out who you are, I’m here to listen and help you work through it all. I believe in the power of therapy to help you gain clarity, develop coping skills, and build confidence as you face life’s ups and downs. I use a mix of approaches, based on a foundation of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to help you find what works best for you. My goal is to empower you to understand yourself better, feel more in control, and develop healthier ways to manage stress and relationships. I am in my last year of my MSW program at East Texas A&M University, where my focus is mental health service provision to individuals and families. When I’m not in session, you can find me in a yoga studio, reading, or spending time with my friends and family. I’m excited to be here and look forward to working together as you explore your strengths, discover new insights, and move forward with more confidence. Thank you for considering me, and congratulations on beginning your therapy journey! Muskan Hussain is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. I believe that healing and growth happen when one is truly heard. As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to support this process and help you move past fears and obstacles that may be getting in the way of your success and happiness. I specialize in helping adults navigate life transitions as well as stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma related to issues of identity, self-esteem, relationships, school, and career. Together, we’ll work towards goals such as deepening self-awareness, overcoming unhelpful patterns, learning effective coping methods, cultivating self-acceptance, and building emotional resilience. I am particularly interested in working with diverse populations, including 1.5 and 2nd generation Asian Americans, BIPOC, and expats. As a native New Yorker and second generation Taiwanese-American, I’m especially attuned to issues of belonging and marginalization, and the complexities that arise from navigating intersecting identities and conflicting expectations, wants, and needs. In addition to being trained and licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC), I have completed post-graduate work in psychodynamic therapy at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Somatic Experiencing®, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). Prior to practicing therapy, I worked in advertising and marketing. I have found that my own winding path has given me a unique perspective and ability to connect with a variety of individuals and their struggles. If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to schedule a complimentary video consultation and take the first step towards feeling better. I would be honored to help you reshape your life story to create more balance, meaning, and fulfillment. www.dianaliao.com @therapywithdiana

The students I work best with are often juggling a lot—classes, exams, relationships, family expectations, jobs, and the constant pressure to “have it all figured out.” If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, unmotivated, or just not like yourself lately, you’re not alone. College can be exciting, but it can also be lonely and stressful in ways people don’t always talk about. In our sessions, you’ll have a space where you can be real—no judgment, no pressure, just honest conversations about what’s going on and practical tools to help you cope. Whether you’re struggling with stress, burnout, confidence, friendships, or big life decisions, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, clear, and in control. If you’re ready for support that actually fits your life as a student, I’d love to help you take that next step.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Since starting private practice, my clients have been for the most part POC, LGBTQ/non-binary, undergrad/graduate students. Since I spent five years teaching as an adjunct and then full-time professor (in nursing), I have some insights into the challenges today's students currently experience and believe I can be a useful asset toward managing any symptoms that may interfere with obtaining your degree. Even though I am a prescriber, I treat the whole person. I don't want to just know the medicine efficacy, or lack thereof; I also want to know what's going on in your life. Is there balance? Are you connected socially? Should we also be discussing any family issues? Going off to school can be challenging and although psychotropic medication plays a role in ameliorating anxiety and depression, we also can engage non-pharmacologic interventions to get you to a better place.
