I believe that people inherently want to move towards healing, but life is complex and things get mixed up along the way. I work to help clients move towards their most authentic & genuine selves. Within the counseling relationship, I strive to help clients feel supported & empowered so they can explore themselves, their current circumstances, past experiences, & future aspirations. I believe that people are the experts of their own lives but sometimes need a roadmap to help get back to where they want to be. One of the most powerful gifts that you can offer the world is to heal yourself & I would love to be a part of your journey. I work with clients to help them live more balanced and meaningful lives. I integrate nature therapy (including walk & talk therapy) into my work with clients & am an EMDR trained therapist. My counseling experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stressors, life adjustments, self-esteem, addiction & sport performance. Contact me if you are looking for an individualized & unique approach to therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to create & implement goals that resonate with the client. I am a registered yoga teacher & utilize yoga as well as sound healing practices into my work. I enjoy working with athletes who are wanting to improve their performance & focus.
My ideal client is motivated to improve their quality of life and may struggle with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and grief/trauma related issues. They are interested in understanding themselves and cultivating healthy coping strategies to deal with the challenges of our modern world, with the ultimate goal of thriving, not just surviving. They understand that we all have the opportunity to continue growing and want to live a more self-expressed life by identifying and challenging negative and self-limiting thinking patterns. I compassionately support and validate my clients, while also encouraging them to take on the challenges in their life. I have significant experience with mindfulness practices and believe in the power of creativity (writing, music, art) as a therapeutic tool. Most people are settling for less than what their lives can possibly be. I am committed to helping you lead a self-expressed life and to help you see all the ways that you are a gift to yourself and others. I do not have all the answers, but I believe that together we can inspire each other and produce breakthroughs you may not think are possible.
My clients describe me as someone who helps them ground and focus when they feel overwhelmed. I am highly skilled in treating a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, life transitions, sleep challenges, perfectionism, self-esteem and complex relationships. Together, we will create a plan of what you want to see change in your life and target new strategies to help you live the life of joy, confidence, peace and connection that you want. In our work together, we will use evidence-based tools that fit for you. My results-oriented approach means you will leave each session with something actionable to help you reach your goals. I often help people deepen their connection with their loved ones and also set limits when needed. I offer individual and couples therapy in-person or by telehealth. College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming, confusing, or lonely - especially when you’re trying to figure out who you are and where you fit. Many of the students I work with feel pressure to have it all together while quietly struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or feeling disconnected from themselves and others. Maybe you’re navigating identity, managing ADHD, feeling the weight of family expectations, or just trying to find your place in all the change. I work best with students who are curious about themselves and want a space where they can be real, reflect, and feel supported. Therapy with me is LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent-affirming, and my goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected - both in your relationships and in your own skin. In my office, you’ll find tea, cozy blankets, and art supplies - whatever helps you settle in and feel like you can just be. My therapy dog, Stevie, can also join for sessions as a comforting buddy or for intentional animal-assisted interventions. You can email/call/text to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. It’s completely normal, and encouraged, to explore a few therapists before finding the right one. This call is simply a chance for us both to see if we click. No pressure, just support!

"I can't find meaning in life" ... "I don't know how to be real with myself or those around me" ... "I don’t feel connected to my partner anymore." Everyone wants to feel connected. We yearn to feel we belong and have meaning in who we are and what we do. Yet, it is not always that easy. I get it. However, I believe therapy can be a space for us to work together on finding meaning and developing the relationships you want. That is why I am here. To see you, to hear your voice, to understand your story, and to walk alongside you to get to where you want to go. Above all else, I believe in utilizing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to counseling to understand all of who you are--your thoughts, feelings, somatic experiences, desires, beliefs, and relationships. This way, you can become more aligned with your heart, mind, and body, working together to achieve your goals. In addition, I believe in using your values, purpose, and "why's" to help you align what you are doing and want to do with why you want to do it. As Friedrich Nietzsche states, "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how."
