Peace-It-Together Counseling Agency provides prevention and intervention counseling services to at-risk youth and offers affordable mental health care services to vulnerable populations in our community. We recognize many people do not have the necessary insurance to seek mental health services. PIT intentionally offers lower fee counseling to individuals, children, teens, families, couples, and the older-aging population to help those who would not ordinarily be able to afford counseling. We make our services affordable by offering them on a sliding scale based on your income. The Peace-It-Together staff knows the unique stressors students carry as many of our staff are also students. Our counselors can provide students with stress reduction strategies to help with school performance anxiety and other school-related stressors. Juggling work, school, and relationships can be overwhelming at times. Our staff is here to help support you and listen to your concerns. We can offer interventions to help you thrive.
As a therapist and Board-Certified Psychiatrist, I strive to approach each individual with empathy, curiosity, and respect. My extensive work with people from diverse economic, gender, sexual, cultural, and racial backgrounds gives me a unique lens through which I understand the complexities of human behavior, mental health, and healing. Our mental health is not only influenced by individual experiences but also by the broader context of society, culture, and history. This holistic perspective allows me to connect with clients in a meaningful way and offer individualized approaches to the healing journey. I received my Medical Degree from NYU School of Medicine, and completed my residency training in Psychiatry at UCLA-Olive View in Los Angeles. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress management. I believe in the power of healing—whether through therapy, medications, or a combination of approaches. While medication is not for everyone, I have seen it play a crucial role in treatment for many people. If we determine that it would be beneficial to try a medication, we will thoroughly discuss the risks and benefits before starting. There will be regular check-ins to ensure it is serving its purpose. And ultimately the decision about whether or not to take a medication I prescribe is yours and yours alone.
Are you feeling powerless as life continues whirling around? Perhaps you are stuck in an area of your life (work, family, relationships)? I am committed to creating a strong therapeutic connection with my clients. Allowing you to feel safe and secure while sharing about life's struggles and guiding you through the process of increasing self-awareness and learning the tools to cope. Together we will create change; allowing you inner power, peace, and joy. I would be honored to be part of your journey whether this is your first time giving therapy a try or you are returning for more self-exploration. I offer therapy in-person in Kansas City or online via telehealth with clients anywhere in Missouri, Kansas, and California. I'm available Mondays-Fridays.
Developmental trauma (experiences as we grow, including our family of origin) shapes how we see the world, sometimes unsafe and challenging to navigate. Our attachments are the foundations in which we trust or find conflict. Developmental trauma may manifest in the body as anxiety, stress, distress, relationship difficulties, depression and more. There is healing to be found here, to be understood and nourished. Well done on the first step in a journey toward wellness. The most important aspect of therapy is finding a person who makes you feel safe and heard. I look forward to collaborating. I have training and experience in working with trauma, family of origin/generational cycles, attachment disruptions, complicated grief and loss, sexuality, sex work and with LGBTQAI+ persons. I love working through emotions, trauma and somatic experiencing. I am Level I Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy trained. I enjoy working with and understanding folx from their perspective; I work with singles, couples, non-monogamous consensual relationships and families. I provide a safe, unassuming space in which you can find felt safety. I appreciate the eclectic person you are and would like to help you identify your own cracks, so that you can let your own light in. Hi, I'm Paige - it's nice to meet you! I am a licensed therapist in California with multiple years of professional experience, dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and personal growth. I specialize in helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, self-esteem, motivation, confidence, and life transitions. We will build your resilience together! My philosophy is to meet each client exactly where they are at, and adapting our therapy relationship to fit their needs. I wholeheartedly believe that as a therapist, I am just a guide during your journey rather than a leader. With a person-centered approach, I adapt to what works best for you, weaving in different modalities to support your journey. We’ll navigate the hard stuff together, honor your resilience, and yes, probably share a few laughs along the way. Healing doesn’t have to be lonely—you don’t have to do it alone. I earned my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from the University of La Verne in La Verne, CA. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults with trauma, depression, anxiety, extreme mood swings, suicidal thoughts, early psychosis, impulse difficulties, relationship challenges, and family challenges. I am also passionate about supporting the unique needs of the LGBTQIA community. I completed my clinical training at several hospitals including UCLA and Children's Hospital Orange County (CHOC) in their Intensive Outpatient program, mental health emergency department and mental health inpatient center. I completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at UC Davis Medical Center where I achieved certifications in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and psychosis assessment (Structured Interview for Psychosis Symptoms). I have been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I offer consultation services for outside providers, parents, teachers, etc. who want to learn more about complex mental health issues such as emerging psychosis, mood disorders, suicidality and other high-risk behaviors. I strive to integrate authenticity, warmth, cultural humility and a strengths-based approach to my clients’ values and individual treatment goals. One of my primary goals in treatment is to create a space where my clients can feel safe to express themselves while also being challenged to grow and learn new skills. My clinical work often involves collaboration with family members, psychiatrists, school psychologists, teachers, social workers, and medical doctors, which allows me to incorporate different perspectives and make holistic recommendations beyond individual therapy. I collaborate with my clients to incorporate their personal views with my areas of expertise to address their goals. I use humor, music, and other creative methods in treatment. I am passionate about helping adolescents and young adults learn new skills and perspectives to navigate life’s challenges. I believe that no matter the diagnosis or symptoms, all people can create a life worth living and accomplish their goals with adequate support and care!
College students I work best with are often balancing a lot at once and feeling overwhelmed trying to keep it all together. You might be dealing with anxiety, low motivation, relationship stress, or feeling unsure about your direction. On the outside, it can look like you are managing, but inside it feels heavy or exhausting. Many of the students I support are ready to understand themselves on a deeper level, even if they do not have all the answers yet. You may be tired of repeating the same patterns or feeling stuck in your thoughts. In our work together, we focus on building clarity, confidence, and practical tools so you can feel more in control of your life and decisions.
My goal is to provide high-quality, client-centered care grounded in a humanistic approach. I view each individual holistically, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Through a warm, empathetic presence, I support clients in building insight, resilience, and meaningful growth. I am passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential and move toward a more self-actualized and fulfilling life. My background has been varied in both community mental health and inpatient settings. I work with children, adolescents, and adults with neurodivergence such as ADHD or Autism, as well as mood disturbances such as depression or bipolar . I am also certified in working with grief and supporting individuals with the loss of a loved one, job, or relationship. I would love to support you in your mental health care and journey toward wellness.
My primary focus is meeting every client’s need to be seen, valued, and heard. I believe first and foremost in establishing a positive relationship and from there continuing to meet needs as continued levels of respect and trust are established. It is my goal to meet someone where they are at, and therefore different techniques will be helpful for different people. There are times where direct, actionable steps are appropriate, and there are times when what you really need is to sit and process your feelings. I can help navigate these things with you and give you the tools to go forward confidently.
Growing up and moving through life brings challenges that can sometimes feel overwhelming. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience, I provide individual therapy, parent coaching, and family support. My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins in safe, trusting relationships, where clients can explore experiences, gain perspective, and discover new ways of coping and connecting. Therapy is about connection, and I believe it works best when it feels genuine and collaborative. My style is warm, approachable, and flexible—I meet you where you are and tailor our work to what feels most helpful. My goal is to help you feel understood and empowered as you navigate your journey. In sessions, you’ll have the chance to explore what’s on your mind and make sense of challenges. Together, we may uncover patterns, develop coping strategies, or find new perspectives that bring clarity and ease. Over time, many clients leave feeling more grounded, confident, and connected—to themselves and others

I love to work with students and young adults. Many of my clients face mood challenges (anxiety and/or depression), career questions, difficulties with relationships and/or the repercussions of early life trauma. Some are high achievers, but feel held back by self-esteem challenges or imposter syndrome. Others are in the process of individuating from their families of origin and benefit from guidance as they find their way in the world as adults. I have great empathy for the stresses of student life as well as a fundamental optimism in our ability to heal and become stronger and healthier with greater self-knowledge and support.

How many times a day do you daydream of dropping everything? Only to quickly be overcome with anxiety and frustration thinking of how everyone and everything will fall apart without you. Let’s face it—if you did take a break, the same issues would still be there, and there might be even more waiting for you. This is just one sign, among others, of burnout and a good example of an opportunity to learn the art of setting boundaries and saying “no” to others while saying “yes” to yourself. This is where therapy comes in! Many believe that therapy is only for the broken or the traumatized. False. Therapy is for anyone seeking to live more fully, love more deeply, think more clearly, and feel more like the 'you' you have been missing. In therapy you will have a safe space to reconnect with yourself and learn how to say “no” with confidence. Like my clients, you deserve to put yourself first without worrying about letting down your partner, kids, friends, or boss. Feeling peaceful and fulfilled without the guilt is not out of your reach!
I love working with young adults who are trying to find their path in life - whether it's in career, relationship, or personal fulfillment. I help my clients connect with their authentic selves, ask questions in a new, thoughtful way, and strategize tools to create real change. I look forward to joining you on your journey toward wellness.
I help thoughtful, driven students break old patterns to build more connected lives: where impact & soul align. As a former tech leader, Stanford student-athlete, and experienced therapist, I know how achievement can hide inner conflict, and that lasting growth happens when we feel both secure and challenged. In therapy, we explore the pull between ambition and ease, connection and distance, and deeper healing.
We believe therapy is a transformative process incorporating different layers of ourselves and our environment. We center Liberation Psychology in helping people empower themselves and dismantle the effects of colonization within and as a collective. We see the person as a whole with mind, body, soul, and spirit. We use a trauma-informed approach that shifts the focus from what's wrong with you? to what happened to you?. Being culturally humble means that you are the expert of your own life, we are equals in the therapy room, and we continuously assess and address our own biases. At Colibri Healing Therapy we are 2SLGBTQIA+ Affirmative. The universe will recycle the same experience in different forms until one is able to transcend and elevate to a higher level of self-awareness and alignment.
