Therapists for college students near Cambridge, MA
You might seem like you’re holding it all together, but inside feel overwhelmed or disconnected. Many high-achieving students carry the weight of expectations from family, culture, and society. That pressure can leave you exhausted, unsure of yourself, and out of touch with your own needs. I create space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and other historically marginalized students to slow down and be known, accepted, and supported as their full selves. I help students work through identity questions, relationship concerns, stress, burnout, imposter feelings, and the impact of trauma. My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. You’ll have space to explore the deeper roots of what you're carrying while also building real-world tools to feel more grounded, empowered, and connected. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Working with me means having a steady, supportive space where you can be real, ask hard questions, and grow at your own pace. We’ll focus on what matters most to you while exploring who you are and what you need to feel more whole. I offer virtual sessions for students anywhere in Massachusetts and would be honored to support you as you move through this next chapter. I provide therapy through Intersect Clinical Services, a preferred provider for Boston-area students. We accept UHC StudentResources and Aetna Student Health with minimal or no out-of-pocket costs.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. I specialize in working with college and graduate students who are navigating anxiety, academic stress, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, and the pressure to “have it all figured out.” Whether you’re adjusting to campus life, managing perfectionism, struggling with motivation, or feeling stuck, therapy can be a space to slow down and make sense of what you’re carrying. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and practical. You are the common denominator in your life, my aim is to help you navigate and understand the deeper patterns that shape your experience. My role is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move through this time in your life with more clarity and confidence.
My style is direct, interactive, supportive and compassionate. I particularly enjoy working with older adolescents and adults who are experiencing difficult and challenging transitions in their lives. I have found that some people seek counseling for short term solutions, while others are seeking a longer, deeper, transformative experience. Some goals I have helped my patients achieve include: overcoming inhibitions about relationships or career, becoming better self-advocates, managing stressful life transitions, exercising more control over choices and actions, and mourning the loss of a loved one/significant relationship. I often use CBT, DBT, and ERP to help clients maximize functioning.

Hello! I am currently accepting new patients. All visits are through telemedicine, so I can see anyone in the state of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Colorado. My love for what I do in psychiatry, comes from the joy I get in helping others improve their lives. Most of my patients do not know which direction to go when then come to me, and that is ok. Some people come to me looking for second or third opinions about diagnosis or medications, some people are referred by a therapist to start medication. We can openly discuss decisions and options. This is a judgement free zone. There is no way you can TMI me! My primary role in our sessions is diagnosis, evaluation and medication management. The role I have in therapy is very small. Most clients are already in therapy or have been referred by therapists to me. All sessions are conducted by tele-medicine. **Offering flexible hours, evening appointments available, also some weekends. **
"When I discover who I am, I'll be free."-Ralph Ellison. I believe that many of the challenges that inhibit us from achieving our goals are related to the difficulty in knowing ourselves and how we can maximize our strengths in order to meet the challenges we face. I believe that no matter what your presenting issue, awareness of our own goals, values, and strengths are critical. It is my goal to help clients cultivate self-awareness in order to achieve their therapeutic goals. I am a clinical social worker who specializes in working with college-age students and young adults. Using a collaborative approach, I work with clients to develop a shared understanding of the goals and preferred outcomes for therapy. I am a clinical social worker and expressive art therapist. I'm passionate about art and mental health education and use both to support people as they develop skills and learn therapeutic tools to manage symptoms. In individual therapy, I enjoy working with young adults to help them develop positive relationships with themselves. I want to learn about you, how you think, how you learned those things, and what truly energizes you. Therapy can focus on processing the past using art and EMDR while also focusing on falling in love with the present. My speciality is using expressive art in therapy. Whether you believe yourself to be creative or not, my hope is to guide you through different ways to use art for relaxation and self-expression in group, individual, and family sessions. Sometimes words are not enough.
I provide identity-affirming therapy to adults with intersecting marginalized identities, including (but not limited to!) folks who are queer, trans, neurodivergent, disabled, kinky, non-monogamous, as well as other marginalized identities. It's wonderful you're taking the step to care for your mental health! I have a heart for college and graduate students and understand the unique stressors of university life, such as academic pressure, social anxieties, and the transition to independence. I am also passionate about helping individuals explore how their cultural and ethnic identities and upbringing interplay with their mental well-being, including the experiences related to cultural identity and navigating multiple cultural spaces. My background as a teacher, HR professional, writer, wife, mother, and therapist has broadened my empathy and understanding of diverse experiences. I graduated with a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University and am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), a well-researched method for trauma. I am a licensed psychotherapist utilizing holistic, creative modalities to provide healing that is effective for children, adolescents and adults. I utilize two main modalities in my practice: Expressive Arts Therapy and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Through these modalities, I empower people who are having difficulty with depression and anxiety due to transitions, low self-esteem, stress, chronic pain, relationship issues, work/school obligations, trauma and grief. Expressive Arts Therapy is an effective way to process difficult emotions by making meaning through the exploration of our creative works. EFT is part of a holistic mind-body movement that works by finding the negative charges in our bodies while simultaneously sending calming signals to decrease our physical and emotional responses. My clients describe me as relatable, comforting, and validating. With compassion and acceptance, I welcome you to join me just as you are.
