My 25+ years of experience includes working with survivors of trauma and violence; intimate partner violence; depression; anxiety and panic; stress management; individuals with histories in foster care; infertility; and parenting- particularly single parenting. The foundation of my practice are trauma-informed and psychodynamic approaches, and I have pursued additional training in solution-focused techniques, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, meditation, and cognitive behavioral therapy. My work is holistic and integrative, considering the interplay of mind and body and selecting from a variety of modalities to best suit you in our work together.
Hello! I’m Hannah Hensley, an MSW practicum provider helping individuals find freedom from anxiety and peace in stressful life transitions through a person-centered approach. I’m passionate about helping others develop strong relationships and healthy family dynamics through marriage and parenting support. I’m engaged in the military community and am a student at the University of Texas at Arlington, where I am completing my Master of Social Work.
Hi there! My name is Emersyn (they/them). I am a white, queer, nonbinary, neurodivergent human who is committed to lifelong learning and presently engaged in their own healing. I love working with other LGBTQIA2S+ folks around identity exploration, relationships, and feelings of erasure or invalidation within the community. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals to identify strengths, needs, and ways to implement accommodations. I work with adults ages 18+ and children ages 6-10. I believe that children, like adults, have rich and dynamic inner worlds, behaviors, and concerns that deserve to be held with sincerity and curiosity. Previously, I have worked with adults with serious mental illness in a group home setting, as well as children with trauma histories in a special education setting. My therapy style is collaborative, systems-focused, person-centered, and casual. I am interested to learn about the familial, societal, and historical contexts that have shaped your/your child’s life. I trust you/your child to take the lead, and I will offer guidance along the way. Past clients have appreciated my genuineness, curiosity, and receptivity to feedback. I offer virtual and in-person sessions for adults and in-person sessions only for children, including outdoor/walk-and-talk (pending weather). Please note that I will be masking for in-person sessions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I will provide extra masks should you choose to wear one.

I offer flexible scheduling for those who need it - we can meet weekly, bi-weekly, or 'grab & go' style where you pick up an appointment as needed. I practice 'relational, client-centered' therapy where you are the leader in the work we do together. I value the client-therapist relationship & show up as a whole person therapist - if I cannot provide competent care & support for your therapeutic needs, I will work with you to find you the therapist you deserve. I primarily see individuals experiencing life overwhelm, chronic illness, perinatal or postpartum concerns, identity exploration, & those in (or interested in) the medical, human services, or first responder fields.

Life can be incredibly stressful and lonely, at times, especially during the college years. I believe in the ability of therapy to help people heal and change. Often, this process starts when we feel at our lowest—lost and overwhelmed. An experienced therapist, I provide a warm, compassionate space to talk about the things that matter to you, explore what might be holding you back, and create a plan together to make the changes you desire. People say I put them at ease and quickly bring a new perspective to the way they have been thinking about a problem.
