I am a seasoned clinical psychologist who is passionate about helping others be happier and live a better life . I work with individuals and couples at my practice in downtown Evansville. I have been in private practice for over 5 years after earning my PsyD from Yeshiva University in New York City. I incorporate a variety of techniques depending on my client's individual needs. These include DBT skills, mindfulness based interventions, and trauma informed treatment. I am committed to working with culturally diverse people from every walk of life and strive to create an open and affirmative space for all. I particularly enjoy working with young adults, adults, and youths. We each come to therapy searching for things to change, understanding, and symptoms relief. During our initial session, you can expect me to take time to get to know you, and provide feedback that you can apply to yourself and others in everyday interactions. We will look at your thoughts, feelings, and reactions that arise in therapy in order to work directly in the present moment. Whether you're looking extra support during a challenging situation, or you simply want to change direction in your life, I look forward to us establishing a collaborative relationship, It is important to understand that you will get more results from therapy if you actively participate in the process. The ultimate purpose of therapy is to help you bring what you learn in session back into your life. Therefore, beyond the work you do in therapy sessions, your therapist may suggest some things you can do outside of therapy to support your process - such as reading a pertinent book, journaling on specific topics, noting particular behaviors or taking action on your goals. People seeking psychotherapy are ready to make positive changes in their lives, are open to new perspectives and take responsibility for their lives. Do you take insurance, and how does that work? In-Network Insurance Plans: Anthem, Optum, United Health Care, Atnea, New Direction, etc. Please check with your insurance carrier to know if I am a provider. Often a single case agreement can be made with your insurance and I can apply to become a provider for your insurance. Have you experienced overwhelming stress in your life? Do you often feel unseen, unwanted, or under-appreciated? Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or easily irritated? Maybe you’re not even sure why, but you have a feeling something is just not working well. Your relationships don’t offer the support you wish they did. You feel isolated, overwhelmed and angry much of the time, or you are either avoiding conflict or having more arguments than you’d like. You toggle between wanting to people-please to feel seen and wanting to run off to live alone on an island somewhere off grid. But you know there’s more than this cycle you feel trapped in, a way to feel better, to understand the deeper roots of what’s contributing to your stress, and a way to break free. I help guide you in understanding and managing your emotions, developing coping strategies, and facilitating healing and growth. I provide a safe and supportive space for you to process your experiences, helping you regain a sense of control and resilience. In gardening, the unwanted or overgrown parts of a plant must be trimmed back or cut away to allow for fruit or blossoms to grow. Sometimes, we need to do the same in our life. Although pruning may sound painful and difficult, it is not a punishment. Pruning enhances growth by removing what inhibits us and allows us to grow. It may take some work, but you will not be alone.
Life's challenges can leave you feeling anxious or depressed and unsure of what to do next. Together, we can work through trauma, identify your personal goals, and use your strengths to get you closer to where you want to be. I will provide a safe, judgment free space for you to tell your story, while helping with coping skills, overcoming barriers, and modifying those thought patterns that can keep us stuck. You are the expert of your life, and together we can get you closer to your ideal self.
I believe healing is like the ocean—sometimes calm, sometimes stormy, but always full of possibility. My passion is walking alongside people who are navigating the waves of neurodivergence and trauma, offering a safe shore where you can pause, breathe, and feel understood.

I am the director of Modern Mental Health, which is a group of psychologists and trainees (doctoral students in psychology) who provide individual therapy and psychological testing/assessment. We are located in the Purdue Research Park, which is bus-accessible and less than 10 minutes from Purdue's campus. Please visit our website for information about each of our psychologists. We are always accepting referrals for testing/assessment; however, we do sometimes have a waitlist for therapy.
