I specialize in working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues, and I bring a compassionate, collaborative approach to the therapy process. In addition to my general practice, I have extensive experience supporting college students as they work through academic pressures, identity exploration, transitions, and personal growth. I understand that reaching out for support is a brave step, and I’m here to offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s on your mind and begin working toward meaningful change. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a session, feel free to reach out. I’d be honored to be part of your journey. Warm regards,
Is there a part of you that desires to be seen or understood on a deeper level? Perhaps you hope to heal from past struggles during childhood that keep coming back up, especially around relationships, or maybe you're just wanting simple strategies to live with more inner harmony and peace. I want to welcome you on this path and am so glad you had the courage and curiosity to start here! I enjoy using an Internal Family Systems approach and am IFS level 1 trained. I often work with difficulties related to eating disorders/disordered eating, anxiety, perfectionism, men's & women's issues, and attachment. I also see individuals struggling with addictive processes related to internet, online shopping, and social media. If you are tired of feeling stuck, have any questions, or are just curious please reach out! Together, we can journey to more deep healing work with compassion and curiosity.
Do you experience anxiety, depression, or dealing with distressing or traumatic events that are causing you to feel stuck? Are you experiencing an unhealthy relationship with food or body image? Do you feel like you are dealing with toxic relationships or patterns that are keeping you from living your best life? Therapy can provide support in helping you find a balanced relationship with food and body image, as well as find ways to manage overwhelming emotions and traumatic events. It can help bring awareness to the reasons why you are experiencing these challenges and provide a space for healing. In therapy, we work collaboratively to understand your experiences as well and find ways to navigate through them. Regardless of approach, the therapeutic relationship we build together is the most important component for successful outcomes. Connection is key! We will explore your experiences from your perspective in a non-judgmental and compassionate way, then find recognized and innovative therapies that best fit your needs. I have training in evidence-based techniques that incorporate specific tools, strategies and goals, including psychodynamic, interpersonal, CBT, attachment-based and Mindfulness approaches. I also work to raise awareness of ways in which your body may hold distressing experiences in unspoken ways. Some of my clients enjoy experience-based therapeutic approaches - like those in the art therapy group I’ve led for over 11 years. And if you just need someone to talk to, and process things with, I believe one of the most important experiences for a person is just to be heard and validated. Let’s look at the range of tools available to us and then help you find your unique path to holistic healing and meaningful peace. I have over 15 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist. I have worked in a range of treatment settings from inpatient, intensive outpatient, counseling centers, and private practice. Areas of specialization include disordered eating from restrictive patterns to overeating, binge eating, and emotional eating, as well as bulimia and body image disturbances. I have a passion for helping survivors of abuse and domestic violence. I also work with a range of presenting concerns including depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. I use evidence-based techniques including mindfulness and CBT, as well as incorporate creative and more dynamic strategies to facilitate the healing process. I am passionate about working with people of all sexual orientations, self-identification or lifestyles. It is my belief that it is our differences and unique perspectives that can bring the greatest healing. It takes much strength and courage to seek therapy and bring voice to difficult truths. The goal for therapy is to help support the changes that you wish to make and learn to internalize the strategies and tools needed to continue on with a happy and healthy life without the need for therapy. It would be an honor to join you on your journey.
Using a client-centered approach in an accepting and caring environment, I enjoy working with those who experience issues from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women's issues, and life transitional issues, such as marriage, separation, and divorce. We can work together to develop your individual goals to reach your greatest potential of well-being. I utilize the most current evidence based treatments in my practice to promote healing of the body and mind. I would love to meet with you to see if I would be a good fit for your needs! I received EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training in 2016 and have been an EMDR certified therapist since 2018 and have been trained to utilize ego states and cognitive interweaves, flash technique, and other evidence based strategies within EMDR. I also utilize a client-centered approach with various treatment modalities in addition to EMDR to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relaxation and Stress Management Techniques, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Memory Reconsolidation in Trauma Therapy. I would love to meet with you to see if I would be a good fit for your needs!
College can look fine on paper and feel like a full-body group project with no instructions. Healing begins with understanding - and you don’t have to do it on your own. My approach to therapy is rooted in helping you gently explore who you are and how you move through the world. Together, we’ll work to loosen the grip of fear and shame so you can reclaim your story with compassion and confidence. In our work, I’ll support you in recognizing patterns that no longer serve you and help you in shifting them to create space for growth and healing. We will work to strengthen self-trust, improve emotional regulation, and develop a clearer sense of identity. College students come to me to understand their underlying beliefs and emotional experiences that contribute to academic stress, anxiety about life after college, people-pleasing, perfectionism, general anxiety, and depression. I enjoy helping young adults navigate difficult family dynamics, set boundaries with themselves and others, and improve self-esteem. Wherever you are on your journey, I am dedicated to supporting you as you work toward healing.

Welcome! My approach to therapy starts with believing that change is in our control and, by working from that mentality, we can learn to accept & grow from what we cannot control in order to live our life in an more optimal way. Being in the LGBT community myself, some of my clients value having a therapist that can connect with that experience. In my therapy space, I value authenticity, safety, freedom to choose, connection to others as well as ourselves, & being challenged. My clients want a safe & comfortable space that can help them facilitate growth (that can sometimes be uncomfortable) & I love when I can provide that. I enjoy working with college students who are curious about themselves, desire change, & are interested in exploring issues or past trauma that they feel may be holding them back. I've completed EMDR Basic Training and use this along with other evidence based practices to help my clients reach their goals.
My goal as a therapist is to support you during difficult life transitions. These transitions may include starting college, searching for jobs, adjusting to roommates, and exploring gender and sexuality for yourself. Transitions and changes may evoke a sense of grief and loss, regardless if it's positive, negative, or neutral. As a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist, I can help you with the difficult emotions that are associated with these changes. Our sessions would focus on finding the root of your symptoms, processing your grief, and starting your healing journey. Although my specialty is grief and loss, I address a wide variety of concerns, including emotional regulation, managing anxiety and depression, healing from childhood trauma, and increasing resilience. Often, our symptoms can be traced back to the losses and trauma experienced in our lives. I often utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy to treat these symptoms as well. Hello! I'm so glad you're taking this step for your mental health. I went to the therapy for the first time while attending college (at USC too!), and it was pivotal for me. I really value working with college students, and genuinely appreciate how much you have to do deal with. Maybe you're struggling with transitions - adjusting to the start of college, or facing the daunting landscape post-graduation. Maybe you can feel all the pressures mounting to the point where you feel paralyzed and burnt out and confused. Maybe you'd like for just one thing - anything - to be taken off your plate, or for the load to be shared somehow. Maybe you're even trying to figure yourself out beyond the story that's been your life so far. I'd like to help make things seem clearer, or kinder, or safer, and I think we can do it together. I offer 45-minute sessions, as well as longer 90-minute sessions, to fit what you might need best. I also offer letters for medical transition, disability, ESA, and can complete return to school forms.
The typical challenges people face are embedded in fear of rejection, loneliness and disconnection - not feeling likable and lovable. Meaningful living can be achieved by acknowledging this fear and acting intentionally to create love, authenticity, and congruence. I believe effective counseling is grounded in a trusting and affirming working alliance. I work from an interpersonal perspective, meaning our professional relationship is the key to a positive and productive experience. Grounding my training in Existential-Humanistic theory, I seek to support your effort to find personal meaning and self-understanding, to explore your lived experience and discover the most genuine you. I offer support to achieve insight and the tools to cultivate purposeful transformation, enabling you to live a meaningful life in the face of uncertainty and potential suffering. We all take turns with suffering; we all take turns with joy. You can feel accomplished and connected; I can help.
